Online Assessment System (OAS)
The 2007-2008 Online Assessment System (OAS) presented by the Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE) has a mission to provide school districts, classroom teachers, students, and parents support for classroom instruction and student learning. The 2007-2008 OAS has an updated look, improved performance, and new features including:
• Online Training
• Online Support (see Support page)
• Roster Import Validation Tool
• Additional Reporting capabilities for Level 3 tests
• Constructed Response items
• Additional items from Georgia released tests, NAEP, and released tests from other states.
• To create consistency as students and their data travel between districts all student Logon IDs will be the Georgia Test Identifier (GTID)
The OAS enables students in Georgia's public schools to access tests that consist of the same kinds of questions as appear on the state's assessments in Reading, English/Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies in the Criterion-Referenced Competency Tests (CRCT), the End of Course Tests (EOCT), and the Georgia High School Graduation Tests (GHSGT).
The system is also available to students outside the classroom for use anywhere they have an Internet connection, such as after school and on weekends.
